Learn more →Industrial power systems, electrical maintenance, power station work and factory electrification, built for Nigerian conditions, maintained for zero unplanned downtime.
Every factory manager in Nigeria knows the equation: unreliable grid supply plus diesel generation equals power infrastructure under constant stress. GDPS Ltd is the power distribution company Nigerian industry calls to break that cycle, designing, building and maintaining industrial power systems engineered specifically for Nigerian operating conditions: voltage fluctuations, tropical heat, dust, humidity and round-the-clock production.
From transformer installations in Trans-Amadi's industrial heartland to complete factory electrification in Lagos and Abuja, we deliver the full power chain: intake, transformation, distribution, protection, and the maintenance that keeps it all alive for decades. Licensed by NEMSA, insured, and warranty-backed, with 24/7 availability and a 2-hour emergency response.
Getting power distribution right starts long before the first cable is pulled. Our design engineers produce load schedules, single-line diagrams, short-circuit and protection coordination studies, and cable sizing calculations to IEC 60364 and the Nigerian Electrical Code. Then we build what we design:
In Nigeria's climate, electrical maintenance is not optional. Heat degrades insulation, humidity corrodes connections, and dust invades enclosures, while generator-parallel operation stresses protection systems daily. Our preventive maintenance programs include:
Predictive maintenance for tropical climates is one of our specialties: by trending test results over time, we replace components at the optimal moment, before failure, without waste.
Most Nigerian factories generate the majority of their own power. That makes electrical efficiency a direct fuel-cost lever. Our energy services include power factor correction (typical payback under 12 months), generator synchronization and load-sharing systems that let multiple sets run at efficient loading, harmonic surveys and mitigation to protect sensitive drives and PLCs, and facility energy audits that identify exactly where your diesel money goes. Clients routinely cut energy costs by 15-25%, savings that flow straight to the bottom line every month.
Beyond factories, we maintain electrical systems for independent power plants, captive power stations, hospitals, data centres and commercial buildings where power failure is not an option. Our teams are experienced with synchronizing switchgear, protection grading between grid and embedded generation, automatic changeover systems, and UPS integration for critical loads.
Every engagement starts with a free estimate, itemized, transparent, and without obligation. For maintenance, we offer tiered contracts:
| Plan | Includes | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Quarterly preventive visits, annual thermography, test certification | Small factories & commercial buildings |
| Professional | Monthly visits, 2-hr emergency response, spares management, energy reporting | Manufacturing & processing plants |
| Enterprise | Dedicated engineer, resident support options, full compliance management | Large industrial & oil & gas facilities |
Whether you run a plastics plant in Oregun, a food factory in Agbara, a refinery in Port Harcourt or a government facility in Abuja, GDPS Ltd delivers power you can build a business on. Call now for a free estimate, or reach us 24/7 for emergencies.
A beverage manufacturer building a new production facility in Agbara needed complete electrical infrastructure on a tight construction timeline, 2MVA intake substation, main LV switchroom, production line MCCs, and energy-efficient high-bay lighting across 12,000m².
GDPS delivered design-and-build: load schedules and SLDs approved in week one, a 2×1MVA transformer substation with RMU intake, a 12-section main switchboard with 400kVAr automatic power factor correction, and three production MCCs with soft-start and VSD control. To protect the client's launch date, we worked evening and weekend shifts through the final six weeks.
Result: NEMSA inspection passed first time, factory commissioned on schedule, and measured power factor of 0.98 cutting reactive losses from day one. The client retained GDPS for ongoing maintenance under our Professional plan with 2-hour response cover.
A licensed engineer responds within 2 hours, 24/7.
